Can I correct information in an exam essay text box?

IE7 has been listed as compatible with Bb.  That does mean that not all features have been tested.  The text box requires dynamic HTML which is not fully supported by IE7.  Therefore, upon attempt to correct text in an exam essay text box, text editing errors may occur and you may be locked out of the exam.  Please contact your instructor immediately if this occurs.  Microsoft and Bb are working to resolve this issue.  For best results with use of the text box, set the Visual Text Box Editor Option to unavailable before taking an exam.  (Under the My Institution Tab in Bb you can choose Personal Information>Set Visual Text Box Editor Options>Choose Unavailable and click on Submit).

How do I handle a clipboard access window that appears when I begin a Bb exam?

For exams, if you are getting a window asking if you would like to access the clipboard when you begin to take the exam and are then locked out of the exam, check the settings below:

In Internet Explorer, from the menu bar choose Tools>Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab. Make sure the zone selected is Internet.  Click on the Custom Level button and scroll until you locate the setting under Scripting Allow Programmatic clipboard access.  Set to enable. Click on OK twice to exit open windows.

 How can I get my discussion board to display a text box?

1. Under the My Institution Tab in Bb you can choose Personal Information>Set Visual Text Box Editor Options>Choose unavailable and Click on Submit.

In the IE7 browser window choose Tools>Internet Options.  Click on the Security Tab.  Click on the Custom Level button.  Scroll to locate Allow Status Bar Updates via Script and set to enable.  Click OK to exit the open window.
