Two important items to be aware of when using Office 2007 are:
The file extensions have changed.
Files are now saved with
a four letter extension as indicated below:

2. The default font in Word has changed to Calibri.
You may see some incorrect interpretations of characters when using products like Turnitin. Office 2007 is listed as compatible with Turnitin. In testing, it was discovered the en dash character and apostrophe character typed in Word 2007 are not displayed properly when viewed in Turnitin. Please contact mclean@cup.edu if you encounter other items that do not synch properly. For best results, save your file as a Word 97-2003 document before submitting to Turnitin.
Currently, Office 2007 files are not supported by Respondus, StudyMate, Impatica (version 3.6.4) and Live Classroom. Save any Office 2007 file as an Office 97-2003 file before using it with these products.
Impatica version 4.0 does support Microsoft Office 2007 files.
